How to Install a Product Designer in Magento 2

Steps to Install Product Designer in Magento 2. 

STEP 1: Extract the downloaded extension package from your Magento root folder using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Tools. For verification of the root folder, you can see some folders inside the Magento root folder like app, bin, lib, PHP server vendors, etc.

STEP 2: Next Need to run some Magento commands to install the extension in your system, so connect with your server via SSH, go to the Magento root folder (e.g: cd /var/www/html/magentp243), and run the below commands one by one.

  • php bin/magento setup: upgrade 
  • php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy-f  
  • php bin/magento indexer: reindex  
  • php bin/magento cache: clean  
  • php bin/magento cache: flush  
  • chmod-R 777 var/ pub/ generated/

STEP 3: If all your commands run successfully, then log in to your system Admin Panel and go to Store > Configuration, if you see a new Tab on the left sidebar with the MageCurious Logo it means the extension was installed successfully.

Steps For Connect Product Designer With Magento 2.

STEP 1:- To Configure Extensions, go to Stores > Configuration > MageCurious Tab > Product Designer Tab > Configuration.

Configuration:

  1. Product Designer: Enable or Disable the Product Designer Module. 
  2. Button Text to Start Design: Set the Text for the Button to Start the Design. 
  3. Button Text to End Design: Set the Text for the Button to End the Design. 

Text Settings:

  1. Allow to Add Text: Select Yes or No to Add Text Design Section to Product Designer. 
  2. Allowed Font Style: Set Font for the Text. 

Image Settings: 

  1. Allow to Upload Images: Select Yes or No to Add an Image Upload Section to a Product Designer. 
  2. Allow to Add Clip Art: Select Yes or No to Add a Clipart Section for a Product Designer. Max. 
  3. Image Upload Size: Set the maximum size for the Image Upload. 
  4. Max. Number of Images Allowed: Select Yes or No to Add Clipart Section to Product Designer.
  5. Allowed Image Format: Select the Allowed Image Format.

STEP 2:- Enable the Product Designer to Design the Product 

  • To Enable the Product Designer you must enable the Allow Product Designing Set to Yes. 
  • Go to catalog -> products -> -> select product designer option.

STEP 3: – Manage Clip Art Categories.

To Manage Clip Art categories, go to Product Designer from Admin Grid and Select Manage Clip Art Categories. 

STEP 4: – Add Clip Art Categories.

To Add Clip Art Categories, click on the Add New Category Button.

Step 5: Manage Clip Art Images

To Manage Clip Art Images, go to Product Designer from Admin Grid and Select Manage Clip Art Images. 

Step 6: Add Clip Art Images 

To Add Clip Art Categories, click on the Add New Image Button. 

Step 7: Manage Fonts 

To Manage Fonts, go to Product Designer from Admin Grid and Select Manage Fonts. 

Step 8: Add Fonts 

To Add Fonts, click on the Add New Font Button.

To Design a Product Select any product and click on the edit product button for configurable product you have to select the first size and color. 

Step 10: Various Product Designer Options. 

Various Product Designer Options like Text, Image, and Clipart are selected as per your requirement and configured individual options as per your requirements.

You can configure various options like Add Text, Select Font, Upload Image, Upload Clipart and also you can select Advanced Properties like Opacity, Shadow X-Y Dimension, Shadow Effect, Outline etc. 

After completing all the settings, click on the Save Button and this will be redirected to proceed to checkout.

STEP 11: Custom Product Design

Customers can upload their products and customise these products also this is a different section of this module.

Step 12: After Product Design (not custom product design) 

After completing all the settings, click on the Save Button and this will be redirected to proceed to checkout. 

You will see the designed product URL in the mini cart and shopping cart section.
