How to Install Customer Authentication in Magento 2

Steps to Install Customer Authentication in Magento 2. 

STEP 1: Extract the downloaded extension package from your Magento root folder using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Tools. For verification of the root folder, you can see some folders inside the Magento root folder like app, bin, lib, PHP server vendors, etc.

STEP 2: Next Need to run some Magento commands to install the extension in your system, so connect with your server via SSH, go to the Magento root folder (e.g: cd /var/www/html/magentp243), and run the below commands one by one.

  • php bin/magento setup: upgrade 
  • php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy-f  
  • php bin/magento indexer: reindex  
  • php bin/magento cache: clean  
  • php bin/magento cache: flush  
  • chmod-R 777 var/ pub/ generated/

STEP 3: If all your commands run successfully, then log in to your system Admin Panel and go to Store > Configuration, if you see a new Tab on the left sidebar with the MageCurious Logo it means the extension was installed successfully.

Requirements

  • HTTPS: WebAuthn requires a secure context, so your website must be served over HTTPS. 
  • Browser Support: Ensure that the browsers you are targeting support WebAuthn. Most modern browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, support WebAuthn.

Note 

  • Using your fingerprint, you can log in to WebUthan on the same device you registered with. 
  • If you want to use WebUthon on another phone, then register it there and then you can use it. 
  • The webtuhn module is exclusively designed for mobile devices and functions accordingly.

Steps To Connect Customer Authentication With Magento 2.

STEP 1:- To Configure Extensions, go to Stores > Settings > Configuration > MageCurious Tab > Finger Print Auth. 

STEP 2:- Fingerprint Auth Configuration:

Enable Fingure print Auth: Enable or Disable Modul

STEP 3:-  Front End – Workflow [ Navigate to the homepage.]

  • Customers can log in by following the path shown in the image below. 
  • Enter the login Email and Password and press Sign In.

User Biometrics Registration 

Now, after logging in the customer now needs to go to the Account section. 

Post which navigates to the My Account > Login Options.

Registration WebAuthn: 

Simply click Register WebAuthn

Further, the customer needs to click on the more options button.

For this purpose, the customer can click this device button to save his or her biometric data.

Here, the user will need to confirm his/her identity using biometrics to verify fingerprints or use a PIN as shown below. 

once you click Use Pin, a message will appear asking you to confirm your identity by entering your lock screen PIN. 

Once successful completion of the verification, the user’s screen displays the biometric WebAuth registration successful message. 

Cancel Webauthn:

After WebAuthn is cancelled, fingerprints are not available for login.

Use WebAuth to Log In 

Customers can now add their email address and click the ‘Use WebAuthn’ button whenever he/she wants to log in. You can verify it as registered and log in instantly with a fingerprint scan.

After clicking the Use WebAuthn button, an image will appear below which allows you to enter your fingerprint.
